One of our favourite things about the holidays is the fact that we all tend to get a little bit more creative with our makeup. Even if you're not normally one for elaborate looks, Christmas is the perfect occasion to add a bit of sparkle here, or a pop of colour there. This year we wanted to show how some of our biggest fans use Rosalique as a redness-neutralising base to their festive looks. Did you know Rosalique can function as a great colour-correcting primer too? A thin base of Rosalique will not only blur out redness, but give you a wonderfully smooth complexion too - it will hold your foundation beautifully!

"I used NYX Brow Pencil in Taupe on my eyebrows just to fill them in and then I did a simple shadow look with the VIP palette from Arttitude Cosmetics, using gold and brown/orange shades to add a little fiery Christmas warmth to the eyes.
I then buffed out the green Rosalique primer with Rosalique brush all over my face which neutralises the redness very nicely and makes my complexion more even - I like to use Rosalique as a primer in my makeup looks as it softens the redness across my cheeks and creates a more even base. I then added a thin layer of Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation.
I contoured with the NYX Contour palette and added some highlight and finished off with Revlon’s Kiss Plumping Creme in shade Nude Honey."

"I start off with the transforming Rosalique applied sparingly all over which instantly brightens my skin with a golden glow whilst neutralising any high colour. For under the eyes and any areas I still need a little more help, I dabble concealer around and blend in with my fingers. Followed by a dusting of mineral magic powder to set this all in place for a long lasting finish.
To give my skin a golden glow I apply bronzer where the sun would kiss me if I was sat in the garden, a sweep across the top of the forehead , down the nose, on the chin and a sweep slightly under the cheek bones for a soft contour swinging up around to the temples.
Despite having high colour in my face I still add blusher to give a youthful glow to the complexion. The trick is to avoid any thing pink or red based and to go for a peach/terracotta toned blusher instead. The Code8 Rose blush is a trio colour wheel with built in highlighter that can be dusted up high on the cheek bones.
To frame the face, I defined my brows with a stroke of soft toned brow pencil. To quickly and simply define the eyes, I reached for the highlighter in the blusher and dusted under the arch if the brow, across the lower half of the eyelid and in the inner eye corner. This is a brilliant old school trick for opening up tired eyes. Again to keep it simple I used an old technique by Marilyn Monroe and reached for my bronzer applying a sweep into the socket line and blending upwards to lift the eye.
To define the eyes further I used the Charlotte Tilbury Super Model Nudes duo ended pencil. Taking the deep brown/black end through the lash line and giving it a gentle flick. Followed by the nude end inside the lower inner water line again to open up the eyes hiding any red tiredness. To finish up the eyes I followed up with lashings of mascara.
To compete the look I enhanced the lips reaching for the Chanel Long Wear Lip Duo. I went for a soft rose to keep the look awake fresh and youthful. The formula is super long wear allowing for eating, drinking and kissing without wearing off.
